Coca-Cola Amatil is the principal Coca-Cola licensee in Australia and independently manufactures its own soft drinks and mineral waters

Coca-Cola was introduced to Australia in 1937 and by early 1938 the first manufacturing plant began operating in Sydney. CCA entered the Australian beverage industry in 1964 and by 1990 had acquired all the Australian Coca-Colabottlinglicensed territories in Australia, except for those in part of the Northern Territory.

The Client's Needs

Coca Cola Amatil wanted a Spring Water Pre-Treatment System treating spring water to remove traces of iron, manganese and all bacteria in order to produce high quality spring water.

This water must meet Coca Cola’s stringent standards prior to the water being processed through the main bottling plant.

Veolia's Solution

Veolia Water Technologies Australia was awarded a contract for the:

  • Supply of raw water feed system
  • Chlorine dosing system
  • Low pressure Ultrafiltration system
  • 120,000 litre filtered water storage farm
  • Road tanker loading system

The Veolia Water Technologies Services team also have a Maintenance & Service Agreement to service the water treatment plant.
